Mmm, that’s not really what happened. He appealed to the public to help him find evidence that he knew HAD been there but had been deleted. A fireman from New York with no bias either way was eventually the guy who found things that showed the woman in a slightly different light to the one painted initially. THAT SAID, what he did was stupid at best and, as you say, abusive at worst. He did do a couple of years in the clink to be fair and you could easily argue that the situation ruined his career. |
