Well China and India will most likely eclipse the US within two or three decades, at a guess, if things keep on moving as fast as they have recently. So they have some reason to be scared. .gif)
However, China is a brutal totalitarian state, and cannot be expected or even allowed to take on a leadership role in world. The US had that leadership, but with about half of the free world vehemently opposed to it's policies lately, it's looking like we might be in for a paradigm shift soonish. If it hasn't already happened, and we're just too caught up in it to see.
I can see China possibly rivaling America in the future, but India ? Last I checked India is getting poorer all the time and thats not likely to change any time soon if ever. The only reason thier economy is getting anywhere now is because the US is giving Indians jobs in the IT field, if they didnt have that then they would be SOL. So that makes India dependant on america for its growth and if they ever do become a threat we can just cut the jobs and send thier economy plummeting. |
