OK, so this "Railways of..." series has caught my eye. I've got the Age of Steam game from Eagle Gryphon, but presume these are a different evolution of similar gameplay? A quick skim of the new KS seems to indicate I'd need to buy in to either Railways of the World or Railways of Nippon (the latter being a standalone expansion I'm guessing?). The new US play mat seems to imply Railways of the World has an Eastern US map, and there is a Western US map that can be combined to make the same map as the new play mat - correct? Which therefore leads to the question of "what's the best option?". Ignoring the "get it all" answer for now, I'd quite like the UK maps, and would need a base set, so "of the World" seems like a good choice. And of course something from the current KS - possibly the Barons set to get solo play for UK/World. Any other suggestions? Or indeed, corrections to my assumptions above? |
