The Last Exorcism Part II (2013) I always appreciate it when a film with an open ending gets a sequel and if I'm honest I don't think I will be satisfied until the story is completely over, so here's hoping for a number 3. However this film wasn't scary, wasn't particularly interesting and all in all didn't have much going for it. 4/10 The Maze Runner (2014) I enjoyed the film...but I found it a bit cheesey, which I assume is because it's aimed at a younger market. Stuff like, our protagonist being the only one who seemingly wants to get out as the rest of the group have settled within the maze and accepted their fate. Or when he becomes the first person to kill a Griever (monsters that lurk in the maze at night) despite only being there for like a week, while others have been there for years. It all just seems too convenient as Thomas seems to save the day again and again. 6/10 |
