I’m glad there’s a lot of love for Hot Shots Part Deux. I’ve always felt quite alone in preferring that over the first. One of my favourite comedies ever. As has been said before, a joke every 30 seconds and most are great, whether that be word play or visual. It’s like The Simpsons in their heyday but spread over an hour and a half. Particular favourite is just after Topper’s rescued Dexter... “Eurgh, is this filtered?” Ryan Stiles’ “Cockadoodledoo!!!!” always gets me. Topper runs out of ammo, grabs a handful of bullets and throws them at the terrorists  Christ I could go on. So much funny in this. |
