    Relic - 9/10

Excellent Aussie horror about aging and dementia. It's a very slow burn and atmospheric film. It takes place in a single, labyrinthine house which is physically rotting reflecting the deterioration of the main character's mother. Anyone with elderly parents will be affected by this. The performances are all excellent, particularly Emily Mortimer as a conflicted daughter who has a troubled relationship with her declining mother. It gets a bit surreal later on which doesn't really add much to the creeping existential horror but does provide some catharsis for all the creepy tension.
Sounds like a serious departure from the Tom Sizemore-starring original! ;P
