Promising Young Woman Spoilers @RawShark Unless of course she hoped to lose her life. The film sets it up as though she did think it was a possibility she wouldn't return (she sends the letter to Alfred Molina) and I thought it was odd that when she parked up her car she removed the plates and threw them away, why would she do that if she was planning to return to the car. She blames the death of her friend on the guy she's targeting and it's not enough for him to be charged with rape, she wants him charged with murder.
