    The independent cinema in Leicester uses active shutter glasses (is that what they're called?) for their 3D, they're brighter and have less distortion if you're sat further from the middle, and they treat 2D properly too, the image quality on Tree Of life was stunning (though I still didn't understand the point of the film) it's a noticeably better experience than any other big chain 3D I've seen, but I can also see why they haven't/wouldn't adopt it. It's a shame really.

    In general I try to see films in 2D, but reading that article a bit upsetting (for lack of a better word, im not sat here crying) ... it's definitely noticeable, they were using a projector like that for Tinker Tailor and some scenes were dark beyond artistry. ...sigh at cinemas.
