Sorry, been away from the forum for a while. I've done it twice and both times stayed with AlpCycles at the top of Alp Duez. Great bunch of people, good food etc. Also do airport transfers for you and your bike. I would be going with them again next year but decided to miss 2014 and enter 2015. Next year I'll do UK only.

Happy to offer you any tips for the event if you need it. It's a tough ride so make sure you are well prepared. I've seen so many riders in trouble and it's obvious they've under-estimated it. One of the guys I met at Alpcycles was on his 4th as didn't manage to complete 2, and this year he bailed at the bottom of the first mountain.
