| If you're on road any "suspension" is pointless and wastes energy. You're right that it'll be cheap. It'll also be heavy. For a commute you'll be wanting no suspension and ideally no gears. The fewer moving parts the better. Of course the "no gears/fixie" depends a lot on fitness and how big your hills are. My local hill is 200m at ~10% so I like my gears |
