if the blu-ray film has a DTS-HD soundtrack, it will have the 'core' DTS embedded within. So if your amp doesn't support 5.1 pcm, change the ps3 to bitstream and you should get the DTS core track coming through at 1.5mb/s. if your amp doesn't do DTS either, keep the ps3 settings at linear PCM and then use DD Pro Logic II(x) on the 2 channel sound. If your amp doesn't do Pro Logic - upgrade if the sound output bothers you.

I am not sure which is better sound uncompressed 2 channel PCM with Pro Logic II or the core DTS track. Perhaps someone knows?
