3 weeks to go until the Vita launch and things are very quiet. Very, very quiet. In a few weeks, I'll be posting my last full update into this thread as I shift my focus to the Vita one that I'll eventually create. The OP will continue to be updated though so look out for the latest updates. I could of course merge the old OP with the new one but I fear that it may take up too much space. What do you think? Oh, content? There's a new mini from the SNK Playmore collection called Prehistoric Isle and 2 new Studio themes. The PSP Power Sale has started and will last for 4 weeks (with more content supposedly being added throughout the month - probably because of Vita). So far, I only see the FF games from last week and a few Sega classics. Bit of a problem when I can only see the sales on the PS3... Anyway, let me know how you want to handle PSP thread updates in the future. I'll then make a final decision once Vita launches! Next Week Hang on in there... 1st February 2012 minis Prehistoric Isle - £1.99 Themes Create Theme Studio Output - £0.79 Flow/Kinetic Theme by Chuck Elliot - £0.79 |

Registered 13 years agoSix weeks and Sony still can't figure out how to let me (or anyone else) actually play stuff we paid for before Christmas. So last night i hacked my psp and downloaded the content and it works fine. Took me less than twenty minutes. Fucking useless bunch of clowns.

Registered 15 years agoWhere would we be without Ghostlight or Laughing Jackal this week? Practically sounding the death bell probably. However, they've decided to give us a lot of nice bundles to help ease the money out of your wallets.
The main bundle is the Persona 2 and Persona 3 bundle from Ghostlight, giving you one of the best JRPG's on the PSP and combining it with the remake of one of the popular ones, saving you a fair chunk of money in the process.
In minis world, there are 2 new minis on the store for your perusal. First off is [link=http://youtu.be/L-9-xuwEtEs?t=26s">TNK III, a err Tank game from the SNK collection. Then, we have -

I've recently started it and am quite enjoying it actually. I absolutely love the characters and storyline- very original as you say. I found it much, much easier to get into than 1, although I agree that people should do some research to see if it's for them before they buy it.

Might move it to an actual website - or a spreadsheet. Which do people prefer? -

Registered 15 years agoNovember 2007. Nearly 5 years ago, I set out to list every single gaming related item that went into the PSP store when it finally opened up to the public. Now, here we are. For the final time, welcome to the PSP store update.
Unless you've been living under a rock (or just don't care), you'll know that next week is Vita's 0th birthday. That's right, PSP's successor finally comes out to give us more handheld joy for as long as it can (or as long as Sony can stay in business).
That means we're heading to a new home - still undetermined but it's likely to become a functional website (function first, looks later - will be downright ugly) where you can search for all the content you want without braving the store. I do have ideas but sadly, I'm rusty on the technical stuff. We'll keep a presence on the forum's new Vita category though so don't worry about that (though I'm not sure how it's going to work).
I'll keep you posted as much as I can until the site launches. It's going to be nasty, believe me but hopefully I'll turn it into that beautiful swan that we all want to see. If anyone wants to pitch in with ideas, or maybe make it into a full website with reviews and news whistles, let me know.
So, enough future chat, onto the present. Unfortunately, Sony's statement that the store update would be late is true as the update still isn't live yet. However, I'm still able to piece together what should be coming...
First off, we have the usual selection of minis with yet another SNK mini called Bermuda Triangle. We also have World Ping Pong Champion - probably about table tennis. Sadly, I can't find a video for it yet - at least not until I know the publisher.
The top of the bill should be Hungry Giraffe, from PSP minis masters, Laughing Jackal. The game sees you stretch your giraffe's neck around the entire stage, eating everything in it's path - including the usual anvils, dumbbells and drugs. There's been some good feedback on the game since it went out to PSN+ gamers 2 weeks ago so we're hopeful that it's a good a hit as OMG-Z was when it launched.
To round off our final update, Square-Enix left us another PS1 classic, Fear Effect 2. More expensive than a normal PS1 classic, but less than the FF games. Almost exactly the middle ground.
So, that's it. I just wanted to take the opportunity to say thanks to everyone for reading my inane ramblings on here and a special thanks to those who felt I needed to be nominated for the EG awards over the last couple of years. I'll see you over in the Vita thread - coming soon.
Happy gaming!
Next Week

Right, here we are...
Web based version of the OP
Yes, it's the ultimate ugly duckling. I'm unfortunately not the best at web design so it's taking me longer than expected to get things sorted out (plus FF13-2 is taking up a lot more of my time than I expected). Expect improvements as I go along (to be slow and painful obviously).
