Mix up with pies, could have been a real problem for me as I'm allergic to sea food, can imagine eating something like that and wondering what the fuck happening as my throat swells up and stopping me from breathing.

I'm amazed she even got a suspended sentence. It must be amazing being from money and white these days.

I hope they grant the appeal and hit her with a custodial sentence.

This is a miserable story about scumbags but the Mirrors reporting of one particular incident made me cackle.

    http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/neighbours-rejoice-britains-worst-family-11667981

Oldest brother Darren joined his mum and two brothers in prison after he flipped when a pal asked: “Give us a bit of steak.”

Darren replied: “No, but you can have this instead” – and stabbed him in the stomach.

As someone who has seen this horrible disease destroy my mum along with other relatives, it's extremely positive news for my family and yours truly.

“It is very sad to see someone like you in front of court”, said the judge, who added Brogan-Higgins was “completely out of control” that night.

“I hope the trip to South Africa goes really well and sets you off on a good path.”

    err...wtf?!

Would glassing someone usually come with a jail term though?

Well not for a first offence, but it was the judge's words that made me double take. He might as well as have ruffled her hair and told to keep out of trouble. To be fair you can stab someone these days and still get away with it, so what do I know.

I think you're underestimating just how important a gap yar is to the growth of a rich young white girl.

You're right the backpacking hostel industry would collapse overnight without rich, young, white girls experiencing different cultures by getting shitfaced, wearing elephant pants and getting railed by a procession of random guys.

See it all the time though. It really is a case of one rule for the rich and another for the rest us. She glasses the victim who was just doing her job, requiring stitches (S.20 wounding), assaults further security staff and police, denies the offences forcing a trial, gets found guilty and wished a happy holiday. Proper justice that.

Actually you're probably right. Had another look and it was only heard at mags court so probably wasn't as bad as described. Still bad for the victim though to hear the judge make those comments.

Yeah reminds me of that rich American uni student who was a potential for the American swim team but was caught raping a passed out girl behind a dumpster, denied it, got a paltry sentence, like a couple of months because the judge didn't want to ruin the guy's life over 'a small transgression'. His dad wrote a letter for his appeal saying how the incident had ruined his son's life and his son no longer enjoyed steak anymore because of it.
