People at work who are acting all blase about the snow, and saying "I thought it was gonna be bad...BRING IT ON!!!"

This coming mainly from a haggard bitch who literally worries about driving home "in the dark" EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. in the Winter.

Got a couple of mates who work in the NHS, heading out and about, giving the oldies their injections/meds that are struggling like fuck at the moment.

..and now it's just starting shitting it down again like a mofo, I can see the haggard one glancing nervously at the window...you fucking idiot; looks like it's being BROUGHT ON for you.

EDIT: Fucking mong I am - thought this was the Random Rants thread.

A bit more serious than Kirkwood with just a single nipple-on. Nearly at both nipples.

    So Rovio struggling;

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-43263142

Seemed inevitable. They made one good game that wasn’t much more than a spin on existing game designs then just made a fucktonne of iterations.

Seemed like they’d struggle. Shame, I really liked the Birds movie too, but it always seemed like they thought they had a much better business model than they really did. They just made one good game and thought they could live off it forever. Looks like not. Just googled, they did get 2 billion downloads.

Fair dos, but they need to pull something out of their arse soon or it’s not going to end well.

Their one good game was a clone of a flash game I'd rinsed the year before, I seem to remember.

This is starting to look like another Litvinenko...
A man who is critically ill after being exposed to an unknown substance in Wiltshire is a Russian national convicted of spying for Britain, the BBC understands.

Sergei Skripal, who is 66, was granted refuge in the UK following a "spy swap" between the US and Russia in 2010.

Police declared a major incident on Sunday after a man and a woman were reported ill at a shopping centre in Salisbury.

The substance has not been identified.

Now confirmed as a nerve agent, which pretty much guarantees that the Kremlin were involved.

Who knows who he’s pissed off, could be one of our spooks. Russia pardoned him, if they wanted him dead he’d have never left the gulag

'Pardoning' has a long history in Russia of not being worth very much in the long run.

On the news, they said he was part of prisoner exchange, I don't think he was pardoned

Putin is a massive cunt, he knows the UK will not do much (been numerous news stories of Russian jets entering UK air space and been UK jets have chased them off) Turkey didn't fuck around when Russia was sending jets into their airspace)

I'm sure our long term allies. the USA will....ah shit

Russia have been doing that with jets and submarines for years. The only thing we can do is to escort them away, if we were to do anything else it would trigger a huge international incident.

His wife died (apparently of natural causes; cancer), and his son was apparently murdered in St Petersburg. His older brother was also offed, though I've not been able to figure out where he was at the time. Seems like a plan to eliminate his entire bloodline, and that presumably takes time.

I’m not saying it wasn’t Russia, just who knows yet. The guy was a double agent who still had friends in British intelligence, and Russia are usually smarter than to use bog standard nerve agents for this stuff. Polonium was only discovered by a fluke

True, but it certainly feels as if we need positive evidence it wasn't them before they stop being the prime suspect.

Edit: I hope we find out sooner rather than later. Polonium killing was something of a novelty - it can be detected with an alpha particle detector apparently, but how many hospitals have those on stock? This being a nerve agent, and we have a long history of making the damn things, with porton down being apparently involved in testing samples, can figure out what it is and maybe where it came from. Whether that'll be quick enough to save anyone affected is probably the main concern at the moment though.

If you want to kill a traitorous ex spy you can probably do it in somewhat less extravagant fashion

Poison them in public with a nerve agent and you are making a statement.
