@RandolphCarter do you think you could read it again and video the hand tremble?
I could, but you would NOT believe that the video wasn't filmed during an earthquake, such is the sheer violence of the trembles - 9.8 on the richter scale.

I find this story a strange one. Not for the substance of the story, which is interesting in its own way. But because it's a reminder of just how old the generation who were adults for WW2 actually are now and how close WW2 is to passing from "living history" to "plain old history". When I was growing up, I had plenty of relatives who had fought in WW2 or lived through it as adults. They're all dead now.

Congratulations; you're now old. Things that you used to like are now retro, things that were a bit past you are now officially old, and old stuff is now historical. Even the dinosaurs are now a little bit older than they used to be.

The Russian newspaper Pravda talks of the UK and Russia being "on the brink of war".

    Two dead Russians now.

No confirmation it's murder but the timing isn't great.

Itís game playing. It was made in a Russian lab, it needs to handled with, well, laboratory standard care, state funded care. It was them, we know it was them- it doesnít make much sense to hand the razor sharp knife back to the bully, especially when heíll pretend to examine it and then declare heís never seen it before.

Yeah, that as well as it's just in time for his own presidential election and he can claim that because he hasn't seen it before it's obviously another unfounded attack on Russia. The population eat this shit up and support for Putin remains strong. Obviously he's already won the election but sometimes you have to go through the charade.

    Weatherspoons profits up

The top-rated comments on this article are amazing. I'm guessing that Tim Martin is mates with Putin and has got his trolls to do some work for him. Or the gammons genuinely love shit food and beer that tastes like chemicals.

TBF shit food is a great British tradition.

As bad as Weatherspoons can be, the beer is usually in pretty good nick.

You must have better Weatherspoons that here then, because it's uniformly awful in mine. It used to be a lot better though.
