I don't even understand the scoring in cricket but I know that's a shocker.

Didn't they get OBE's when they beat the Aussies back in ought five?

That was embarrassing. OBE's - for winning ONE series, no wonder the Aussies lolled...

Seems like the team has totally gone to pot after the Ashes win. Wonder why that is?

I watched it until about 9.30 this morning when it looked like the rest of the day would be off due to rain, nice to see I didn't miss many runs.

The fact they can't seem to take 20 wickets in a test match seems to be the main problem :-0

    /Ignores todays batting performance

Well I think we were at our absolute peak back then. Now we've got injuries, players not long back from injury and players out of form.

Saying that and not having seen the innings I don't think you can read too much into one innings, just the way it goes sometimes.

He's been out injured for much of the last few years, but he played county cricket last season.

To be fair, this is the first major collapse for a long time, we played decent test and some impressive one-day stuff in the summer, and we just beat SL in Sri Lanka in the ODI series.

I think this is a blip. Though the bowlers aren't in form (Hoggard probably shouldn't have played and Monty can't seem to buy a wicket) and that's a worry for NZ.

A heroic draw there in the final test by the England boys, and fully deserved...

No thread for the South Africa series? Can't be arsed to make one - just wanted to post West Indies Women's one-day scorecard against England today.

I think the thread for SA series is in the EG cricket club.

I don't care for cricket, but surely this dip in form is due to the influx of foreigners? amarite folks?

    The foreigners?

Actually they are battering South Africa and are not doing so bad.

At least we're allowed to play the big boys rather than being whipping boys for all the counties of another country.

Hopefully you guys will actually put up a fight at the next Ashes. The last series was absolutely shocking, and I say this as an Australian supporter. I want to see a good game, more than anything.

With No warne and Mcgrath its gonna be close. Australia has been convincing since those two's departure, yeh they have been winning but close matches.

God yeah, the last Ashes was a joke. I actually quite enjoyed it after the stupidity that followed our win previous.

The pitch is now beautiful to bat on. Dont write this off as being a draw yet.
