Dabs.com can be misleading

    When looking at a "SATA" 500GB hard drive on dabs (link below)


    They suggest a bundle with a Hard Drive Caddy. Nice Idea, but it's a caddy for a IDE HD!!!!

    How many people must have been stung!!!!? You really have to read everything!

    Argh. Ordered a hard drive from Dabs.com take my money and give it to Royal mail for "tracked delivery (1-2 day delivery, no SLA) rather than "special delivery", who fail to deliver it on Saturday, now it can't be collected from the post office until Monday.

    Don't pay Dabs.com for next-day delivery. Thieving scumbags.

    Just to add as well, when Dabs display their stocks, and you see something "in stock" - It is more than likely in stock at one of their suppliers and not themselves.

    They suck big time.

    I had a problem where they said item was out of stock and is due in 3 days. So i thought ok well i dont mind waiting and ordered it anyway, problem is that 2 weeks later and was still not dispatched.

    I emailed and they said it will be available soon but again after another week no dice. So i wanted to cancel the order as was avalible at ebuyer but as it was at the 'processing stage' i could not cancel it. So that took a few a few phone calls. I never saw the item but at least i got my money back.

    I generally stick to Ebuyer and Amazon now, althourgh Novatech are also very good just sometimes a bit pricey.

    Never had anything but good service from Dabs, even when having to return stuff. They even offered a replacement when an item was out of warranty.
