Universally regarded as naff or panned by the critics. Any albums you listen to that you know might not actually be that good, or groundbreaking/original etc, but you just like? For me, at the moment, it's Air Traffic - Fractured Life. Lot's of radio play, lots of bad reviews, lot's of comparisons to Coldplay and Keane. But I really like a lot of the album, and I've found myself putting it on a lot, even though I have 4161 other tracks to choose from. |

I've got some Kylie albums, I'm not gay though.

I've got a real thing for power ballads. Don't really feel any guilt for it though. -

I have to say find the idea of a music critic a bit odd. Music is really subjective, much more so than a game or a film. Plus, I can just listen to stuff in the shop, or on the radio or whatever before I buy it. I really don't get the idea of basing what music I listen to on someone else's opinion. Even if I care about their opinion, I still want to hear and judge for myself. -

Another one. Although they've had very good reviews and they're quite 'with it'... Of Montreal.
Even though it's incredibly camp stuff, I can't stop listening to it. -

Listening to stuff to find out what it like is easy now, thanks to the internet. In the olden days it was difficult to find new music, with limited radio, even more limited music TV. I personally always find myself very selfcouncious when listening to stuff in the shop.
It's less stupid than a TV critic - how pointless is that?
On an unrelated note, I've always found it a bit odd how albums never have any find of description as to what kind of music it is, like you see with movies (e.g. DVDs or VHS cases) or novels. Probably a reflection of that subjectivity... -

Possibly not panned by critics, but they do suck, in a strangely endearing way. -

True. It is kinda hard to explain to office co-workers though. -

That's all very well if you have time to sit and listen to 600 new records a week. -

I don't really follow any form of mainstream music press, listen to the radio or watch music TV, so I have no bloody idea what's considered "in" right now, frankly. I'll wager it ain't what I'm listening to, mind -

Oooh, hmmmm.
My most shameful occasions have seen me listen to game soundtracks and the like.
This is a classic

I'm a sucker for things that bring back treasured memories, even if I didn't like the songs at all at the time. Good examples of this are things like early 90s pop, hated it at the time (more shamefully I liked dance music back then) but brings back great memories of school so now I like some of that stuff. -

Oh, I like a bit of Mika, possibly due to voice sounding a lot like Freddy (RIP). I listen to a lot of Freddie to.
