The sort of thing to take to parties when everyone is making a fool of themselves.

Most digital cameras have a movie mode that rivals the quality of some camcorders and offers the same 640x480 resolution.

If you have a digital camera all you may need is a larger memory card.

I'm looking for a HD video camera/camcorder, looking to spend 100-150. Anyone have any recommendations?

@SuperCoolEskimo Ah good :) Sadly now you also need to buy a spare hard drive to store all the HD cat / baby funnies on.

@localnotail What software do you use to burn the mts video files onto DVD-R? Assuming you're doing that with your video files, obviously. Windows DVD maker doesn't like mts files :(

I haven't tried to burn anything, sorry. Just been transferring them to a hard drive and occasionally upload to youtube.

Does anyone know of a good one sub 100?
It's for filming UFOs that I see all the time in the Pentland hills, but my house is a bit far way so I'd need to zoom in.
