Do it or it’ll forever eat away at you. Don’t let it ruin your life.

Question please - picked up my copy today (lousy AUS release dates) but am house sitting for another 2 weeks.

They have a Wii but will I be able to take my save back to my Wii when I move into my new pad?

    Anyone?

Yep. Stick it on an SD card. I took my save over the in-laws last weekend so it's definitely fine.

Just unlocked World 6. 87 stars under my belt. \o/

    Can't count. 87 not 82.

Mrs Hermit played this with me in 2 player mode over the weekend. Definitely helped having her grab those hard to reach mushrooms and coins. Some of the purple coin challenges were made a fair bit easier as well, as I could concentrate on not falling off while she grabbed the coins I missed on the way past.

She loved it and we spent hours playing. Are there any other games which offer a similar 2 player experience?

Just got the "exploring the cosmic cavern" star and what an awesome experience. I dont usually like underwater levels in 3D Mario games but that was just brilliant.

71 stars in now, just started World 5. Loved the castle level at the end of World 4 - the switching between 2D and 3D, combined with the varying gravity, is excellent.

Definitely an improvement on SMG1 in my opinion, although the music isn't as good.

I'm having serious issues with the waggle to spin thing.

I had to swap my controllers as one of them was feeling unresponsive and now both of them are doing it, within a fortnight of each other. It's a nightmare and makes some of the more tricky trickster comets impossible.

It took me 20 or 30 attempts to do the Flip Switch Purple Coin Star thanks to it.

Anybody else had controllers that have reached the end of their useful life or is it just me? Can't really afford to shell out on new controllers for a console I barely ever use.

After being out of gaming for about a month to come back into it with mario galaxy 2, well its brilliant. Only up to world 5 as well and while it starts off slowly there really is some mesmerising levels thrown at you. To think that it couldnt get any better than mario galaxy. I dont mind the different structure at all, theres just enough exploration to be had in these mini worlds and the imagination in some is ridiculous.

I have to agree the bowser castle levels are nothing short of brilliant the real highlight so far.

    The Perfect Run

Are they having a laugh or what. I think I may be doomed to spend eternity with a meagre 241 stars. They're all gold though, no scabby bronze ones in there.

Well I'm about 20 stars into the greens so a ways off you chaps yet but if it's harder than getting all 3 coins on level 9.7 of NSMB Wii then they will have outdone themselves for difficulty.

Most greens so far have been OK but the castle level in World 1 was tricky. How are you supposed to find the first without using the warp (and thus needing a restart) and the second was totally hidden. Probably missed something simple in both cases.....
