Right. Hello there. groovemeister, in case you hadn't guessed.

I would like to clear a few things up please. I have had to create this account so that the mods can actually see my post to answer the questions. It has come to light that I have been GI'd due to 'racism'.

However, it has taken me a while to figure this out because no-one told me, which even if I deserve the punishment, I'd have thought that it would be explained to me.

I know not who it was, and honestly not only did I think it overly harsh but also surprised that there was no warning. As I've said already, what if I referred to a stereotype of Scots drinking? What if I said 'Yank' and also referred to the plethora of American stereotypes?

Would the same happen - no, because skin colour isn't a factor, yet it's a slur all the same and that is the reasoning behind my doing what I did.

In fact there was a joke in the 'Worst Joke 'Ever' thread:

There was a look-a-like competition in China recently. Everybody won.

...this stuff is posted up so I ask how am to know what's acceptable and what's not?

I made the thread for the genuine reason, hence my editing it now due to the reference to 'racial' bits (though no one can see it bar me - although IF the mods can), it's here: http://www.eurogamer.net/forum_thread_posts.php?thread_id=106450&start=

I've made it because in all honesty I didn't and still don't think that it's wrong. But you make the rules, not me and if something's a rule then I'll follow it completely and all I needed was to be told - and I have already edited it as you hopefully can see, which should go to show that I didn't mean to be an outrageously offensive rulebreaker so have changed what was supposedly wrong as soon as I found out last night. As New York might say, it's like I've got a disorder which prevents me knowing what's socially acceptable or something. :/

Nooooooo, rauper runs the place and he comes in now and again. EG isn't as massive and faceless a corporate enterprise as you perhaps think. I'm pretty sure someone in the EG offices is a forum mod.
