Can we be 100% Rosanne had even heard of the movie Planet of the apes when she made the tweet?
Maybe she was referring to a unpublished short story that she wrote that coincidentally has the same name (and is very respectful of all ethnicities)
We shouldn't be quick to judge -

Registered 18 years agoMeaning to be racist? Heh that's an interesting take. Very few people deliberately mean to be racist. Meaning to be isn't the same as being.
The actual colour and ethnicity of the person in question or her actual intent is not what defines her comments as racist it's the thinking behind them.
Whether she was racist towards that particulat person is another matter. -

Registered 10 years agoI haven't caught the return series. Don't think it's been shown over here and now somehow don't think it ever will, but I used to enjoy it back in the day. This latest idea sounds like a recipe for disaster, can't see how it would work without her as she was the heart of it all and the funniest one of the lot, it was called "Roseanne" for a reason. -
