Rather big spoiler in the latest post from HairyArse. The thread is frequented by lots of people who have just started watching the series or are keeping up with the DVD releases, and the spoiler is from the season that's just now airing in the US, as far as I can tell, so it might piss a few more people of.

Didn't even read the latest posts as I was afraid something like that might happen although the thread has been pretty much spoiler-free for the best part of two years, but my eyes fell right onto it.

If a moderator who either doesn't care about the show or has seen it would kindly remove it please.

Er yeah that's really something that probably shouldn't be even tagged either, what's revealed was danced around by some of us last week due to the hugeness of it. Things like that don't need spelling out, those who've seen the episode will know what you're talking about!

Fuck, I'm steering clear of that thread so. Haven't watched past the first two episodes of the latest season.

Same here, so I'll make a Wire post in here.

Season 3 didn't grip me at all. I turned it off during the second episode a few weeks back, and haven't watched it since.

It's suffering from the same problem as the other seasons at the beginning really. Too many characters too soon, but the problem's worse here because it jumps straight into the detail with no background like in the last two seasons.

Just finished season one last night. Before the 360 decided it didn't wanna play the codecs of season 2. Hopefully it just had sand in its digital vagina as I don't wanna have to sit up and watch the rest on the PC :S

I think it was season 3 where I actually read a summary of the first episode on HBO's hompage because I didn't get a few things - English not being my native language doesn't help. While I understand and know all the words, the respective gangster/cop slang is sometimes a bit of a problem. Generally I like their approach though - you're thrown it at the deep end and need to pay attention, which is something a good TV show can demand of the viewer, in my opinion. :-)

Anyway, watch it. Season 3 is great, I thought it was quite a bit better than season 2.
