Alex was a dick though. You can't serve posh people pigs ears! It was, IMO, always bewteen Tim and Druhv. Druhv did very well indeed when it really mattered, plus he was very self-deprecating but also seemed like he'd be the one to go on and do something good with it

Because the suffering makes it taste delicious. If the lobster was already dead, it would taste less amazing.

I have a Chinese friend who hates the fact that he can't buy live fish to eat at the markets here. In fact, there's a prawn dish he's mentioned that involves really quickly flash-frying the prawns whole. So they still twitch on the plate.

Sounds similar to the video of the Chinese flash fried fish that was doing the rounds a while back. Pretty horrific stuff.

Her and wallace did some cookery show where they stuck her in a kitchen somewhere in the world to learn the local ways, then she had to shovel grub down wallaces face until he said 'YAM YAM'.

    She did, yeah.

Nadia is incredibly annoying and shouty and patronising, but I'm really impressed at the ability of these kids. Some of them are really good.

I guess no-one else was following the celebrity Masterchef thing then. I only just caught up with last week's final on iPlayer. A deserved win for Lisa, who may well be the cutest person I have ever seen. Cute in an awwww likkle bay rabbit way, not in an attractive way. Although she is that as well I suppose.

I think there was a Celebrity Masterchef thread.

I remember celebrating in truly gloating style with DG when that smug prick from Game On got thrown out :)

Didn't see the final, but in previous rounds her slightly faux feeble thing she had going on got on my tits a bit. She did seem to be a good cook though (which made the feeble shtick all the more annoying).

Cute bird wins for 3rd year running - quelle surprise. Though she's obviously a good cook, the fawning over her efforts was why I stopped watching.

Women who cry about anything and everything do tend to grate against my usually upstanding and supportive character.

I loved her faux feeble thing, I just wanted to give her a hug. And stuff...

You're every scheming womans dream, pete ;)

"Oh, this is just too hard/heavy/difficult/scary. I need a big stong man to help me out *sob*. Oh Peter, you're so masculine and muscular, if only I had someone like you to help/carry/protect me..."

You'd prefer someone with a more robust character like, say, Christine Hamilton? ;)

edit - Christine needs to stop pleading the fucking martyr. "I've had a hard life" - have you fuck.

No, the Hamilton's do my head in.

I guess that leaves me with Dick.

Mighty fine moustache and very handy to have around the house I guess...

I was annoyed when Mark Little was booted out in the first round. I wanted to see what he'd say to all the upper-class food snobs.

'Go on mate, get that down y'neck, proper bonza'.

I've V+ the series! Although I don't quite get the point of it. At least the Amateurs win the chance of a career as a chef. What do the professionals win?
