No problem ^_^ Just relax and enjoy your games. We just have to wait on the next firmware now and see what happens.

I've ordered No More Heroes and Harvey Birdman. I'm still dissapointed with the lack of Gamecube region free compatability. Was hoping for some Baten Kaitos Origins 480p goodness.

I would recommend Gameseeker myself, first order ever and it all went smooth and very quick delivery. Also only like £1.50 for postage or so.

So, can I transfer my UK saves on to my US Wii, and load the PAL games from it via freeloader?

Can anyone test this with a US save for NMH or something?

I cannot test this but it shouldn't be a problem. The games handle the save files so it's of no concern which region the console has. The US game will accept US savegames, even if the game runs on a EU console - or the other way around. What will not work is getting a NTSC game to read the PAL savegame - the saves are marked to which region they belong and the games do check this. Even if this was circumvented there are often differences in the save files between the different regions because of patches or other code changes.

I know all these choices!! It will be just my luck they release an update that stops it all from working!! lol

    If anyone is still worried...

My wii has firmware version 3.2e (I did it myself before trying freeloader - risk taker eh?) and runs in 60hz through component.

So freeloader showed up today (good service from Gameseek) and I've just tried it out with NMH.

Worked perfectly so far. Like the people say pop it in wait til screen goes funny, don't actually click on the disc to open/launch it, just eject and replace with imported goodness.

As for whether it runs flawlessly throughout the game, well I don't know just tried it out really...

I'm trying to think what Pirotic could of possibly done wrong to have it not work with both methods of the workaround.

i have no idea, all i can suggest is that perhaps it is dependent on the wii model you have?
he did say that NMH did *something* but didnt get to the title screen - perhaps there were problems with the disc read?

i just had to use the first method to boot it, and it worked first time.

I would really recommend www.play-asia.com to buy the freeloader (it hasn't been available in play-asia yet but soon it will)

Their shipping is quite expensive (18 euros for UPS shipping)

But their time of shipping the items & responsibility are high class.

So play-asia is perfect for those who don't care if 18 euros is too much for shipping, but just want the freeloader fast.

Though like I said, it's not released yet in PA :(

I suspect it's something to do with my NMH being a japanese promo copy, the disc is fine as it runs on the japanese wii no problems. Will probably import a US version now it's confirmed as working via Freeloader, bit weird when you get that sweeper coming along with nothing to sweep up (I assume he sweeps the blood up on the US version).

While I order at Play-Asia on a regular basis I don't think that just ordering the freeloader there makes any sense at all. It won't be here faster than ordering from the UK, plus the shipping costs for a fast delivery are higher than for the product you're buying. Plus it might get held up at customs.
