Does anyone have any idea how long VG+ normally take to ship to the UK?

2-4 days usually, but sometimes they get a bit mixed up and take a few weeks.

Cheers. heres hoping for the first option for NMH, still enjoying?

I also find it a bit strange how people are unwilling to import the console, but jump all over imports as soon as a disc like this becomes available.

The Cube freeloader used to work perfectly. There was also no real indication of the fucking mess of the release schedules. It was possible but there was hope.

It was only some games that required separate memory cards. I had my Japanese SC2 and US Mario Tennis happily sharing a memory card with my PAL games.

Is this only available from CodeJunkies?

Wouldn't mind getting it from somewhere I've bought stuff before like.

I wish I had the guts to buy a US Wii. I just fear that if I did it would explode and I'd be left with no warranty

How is do we come off with the Wi-Fi stuff, say for example you have a US copy of Batallion Wars, will it connect to US servers?

    Why would I?

You don't think that us, usually shafted, PAL gamers playing stuff before you importers is groanworthy? ;) That's all, nothing personal. Hence the work on any region disclaimer too..

    Nah, I'd imagine not.

But you can hone your elite SSBM skills so when the EU version is launched you p0wn! ;)

MK is out in Europe first.....

As for wi-fi issues, not sure - but in most games are you not just connecting Wii to Wii with friend codes so doesn't matter about servers?

Canadian friend of mine had a (chipped) Wii, and was playing (EU version) Mario Strikers against me on the EU servers. Laggy as hell but it worked :)

I meant SSBM, getting my territories mixed! I'll go back and correct...

Why would it use servers though? It's just IP-Ip isn't it?

    /May well be wrong

I have no idea how online games will work. But I'm really not interested in them to be honest, I mean I will get Smash Brothers but I don't need it right now. I'd rather have it when the online mode is fully going because everyone else has it as well.

I guess the main point for me would be the cheaper games or games that don't come here at all. I do find the delays infuriating but then again there is so much else to play that it's not like I'm running out of games so I'd rather wait.

    Ah, that's okay then.

Just ordered one so hopefully NOE don't decide to be pricks about it this time.

It's nice to think of SSBB being out in just over a week instead of 'when ever we feel like it' 2008.

Nintendo bundles updates with the games and they refuse to play if you don't update. So even without Wii Connect 24 eventually you will have to update.

This is the bit that would have me worried. Isn't the main cause of bricked Wii's on disc updates being installed onto different region Wii's.

Actually im sure those updates are just to do with the games themselves as the updates are always small and make no difference to the actual console as far as I can see.

It'd be typical is NoE is the only Nintendo company to kill the Freeloader though, then I really would just say fuck it and sell my PAL Wii. and not buy a US one.

The thing that irritates me the most is that the DS is completely region free and im guessing its done nothing but help DS software sales.

Bah oh well we shall see what happens.

So whens it come out 2weeks? hopefully the same time as SSBM does and they both arrive at the same time :D and work perfectly and Nintendo leave it alone >_>

Edit: Oh and wheres it supposed ot be cheaper to order? i just went through video games+ and SSBM came out the same price it cost me to order from Gameplay (£29) :S oh well its about 3 months early :p

Do you update your console using WiiConnect24? If so then that's the reason you don't see any changes, because you already have the most up to date firmware installed, the games however install them anyway, so it looks like the do something when in fact they don't.

I don't think Nintendo will just let this happen, i'm sure they'll have updates to stop the freeloader working, although Datel must of thought of this problem too.
