    So sorry for your loss. We've got hundreds of Lego minifigs so if there's anything specific character-wise that might be a nice surprise for Meg in the post, happy to help out there at least. Just saying because i know that those little gestures that might seem insignificant on the grand scale of things helped me greatly in that initial period.

    thanks again, everyone - deeply entrenched in the business side of things at the moment...it happened so quickly in the end that i'm in a bit of a spin

    cremation is next Wednesday so, no doubt, i'll come down with a crash after that...megs's birthday is early November so i'm just glad it'll be done as quickly as possible as i'd hate her to have to associate her birthday with it for evermore

    what a fucking year!

    sorry, pal, only just taken this in - that's a lovely thought but i wouldn't know where to start at the moment as she's not the most mainstream of individuals...;) - i bless you for thinking of her, though

    disclaimer: not asking for anything with this, just thought people may want to read some of the background, i found writing it quite cathartic

    @TechnoHippy

    it's helping me, tbh, it's part of the grieving, i suppose...i don't feel ready to join widower forums and things, but i'm glad I've started to share on here and avf, two internet homes for me that I've neglected too much as the carer role took over

    for clarity, your contributions will go to clatterbridge cancer hospital trust on the wirral and maggie's, a local cancer support group

    macmillans, i'm afraid, can do one from my experience, they never wanted a thing to do with her and we reached out many times for advice
