    I'm all up for the hitting people bit, it's just the getting hit back that seems a bit unappealing.

    Solidarity mate, there's a thread for depression and other mental health issues if you need to vent.
    Was that necessary? There's plenty of other threads to post about your half arsed boxing regime. Prick.

    In my experience, the best thing about a forum is that if there's something you'd rather discuss, you need only raise it and wait for others to reply.

    And as someone suffering with chronic depression and generalized anxiety disorders, I don't think it was necessary, no. I do think it was funny, though.

    Eurogamer's first white collar boxing event is set up right here. I will happily beat the shit out of Ecosse on the undercard.

    I thought he was pretty polite, as well as correct, to ask you to just use the other thread tbh. Not quite sure why thatís such a big deal for you.

    Yeah, thread is dead. Don't mind all things boxing related.
    If Lukus wants a proper boxing place, a gaming forum is not the one.

    I come to read about professional boxing news.

    Not a randoms adventures in the gym.

    Unless you have a title bout coming up it can go on the fitness thread, along with jazzacise and pilates.

    Also the thread isn't dead. It bumps before big fights and/or something interesting happens.

    Which makes it all the more annoying to read someone's fitness blog.

    +1

    Edit: I don't see the football threads dotted with accounts of EGers' exploits on the right wing for their Saturday and Sunday league teams.

    Just re-installed Fight Night Champion on my One.
    Can't believe it came out in 2011 as the last of the FN series, and I'm even more saddened that back then as I was younger I didn't truly appreciate the FN series as I didn't really know it all too well. Amazed I can fight as Pernell Whitaker.

    I can't remember the reasons why EA dropped it (money? diminished popularity in the US), but I really hope one of the other guys; Konami or Take Two are smart and get a new boxing game out (maybe stealing the team from EA that made the last ones?)

    The UFC games are utter "meh" to me, largely because I don't think there is any controls in the world that can replicate the grappling and BJJ in MMA, but I do think now would be a great time to get a boxing game out;

    - Canelo
    - AJ (love to do an AJ v Lennox fight)
    - Wilder (love a Wilder v Tyson set up)
    - Lomachenko, Usyk, Crawford, Rigo, Fury, etc. Even lesser guys like Khan would be great.

    Also drop the "Fight Night" name and go back to the good old "Knockout Kings".

    The ea team make ufc now. The standup is pretty solid in 3, and there is a stand and bang mode with no ground game.

    Although I do think that they may bring back fight night because of the recent adding of fight night champion to ea access. Although as nice as it was graphically, 2 was a much better game than champion.

    I can't remember where I saw it, YouTube maybe, but there are murmurings of EA looking at potentially bringing Fight Night back, some producer or other petitioning the execs and the like, so there is hope.

    Eddie Hearn has been saying he's been talking with EA recently. UFC's popularity is waning so I wouldn't be surprised to see another one in the next couple of years. And on that day I will jizz in my pants.

    I'd love another fight night game. As much as I love mma it's hard to successfully translate to a videogame. The fight night games were fucking super.

    Can you guys stop talking about games in the boxing thread? I came in here to read geeks opinions on multimillionaires punching each other in the face, not geeks opinions on video games.

    If anyone is interested in a good boxing manga, Hajime No Ippo is still going strong. It does get pretty silly at times (especially in the last decade or so), but the guy who writes it is a professional gym owner/second, so he does know his stuff.

    @Mola_Ram

    Was there a game of that in the PS2 era? Victorious boxers or something. That was great.

    Probably. The series has been going since the 80s, so I'd imagine there being a few games along the way.

    I can't remember which one it was, 3 I think, that kinda forced the stick control, which I totally hated.

    That's on my to-watch list.
    Always love seeing a bit of real martial arts in anime, like in Episode 6, Season 2 of Attack on Titan with the titan battle and the use of BJJ in the battle.
