Looking good. Dialogue choice seems to work in a very similar way to how it did in Fahrenheit. -

I think I'd go with the direct, hand-to-hand approach

Registered 15 years agoI was wondering how good the fighting will actually be in this. The trailers make it looks good, but can it really provide something that's rarely been done well in the past.
In my experience I'd say that one of the best games to do hand-to-hand combat well is The Matrix: Path of Neo - naff though it was, the combat actually had a certain fun element to it. Anyone care to prove me wrong and suggest a better fighting model?
(Not really new thread worthy, just a stealth bump

Registered 15 years agoI agree on Path of Neo actually, whilst not the best 1v1 fighter it has the best crowd fighting I've seen for a while if I'm being honest.
Being Obsidian though, I'd wager the game with be greater than the sum of it's probably broken parts. -

Registered 12 years agoIt looks good, the original fallout fanboys will preach about it being the second coming of christ though.
Personally, I'll wait and see if they have addressed their buggy reputation. -

Registered 17 years agoQuite nice new video for this one showing off a lot more of the RPG parts.

The subtitles look to be a in German and I don't have sound so I am not sure exactly what is being said but the stuff you can see of the game is looking very nice. -

Registered 19 years agoSo Amazon have this down for a 2nd Oct release (same day as FIFA 10) and haven't seen much about this lately, it still down for release on that day? It's lookin pretty cool and I've got myself a £30 voucher and just trying to decide what I wanna buy cause if this is gonna be delayed then FIFA 10 it is. Though I'll end up buying both anyways… -

I spoke to an obsidian dev over on their official forums and Sega have shifted away from their previous release date of early October- to just "October" without any word of when, for some fucked up sega reason.
So it's more than 90% likely that it'll be delayed again, so spend it on FIFA mate. -

Registered 20 years agoGood. I've got a couple RPGs that need wading through first. Hopefully they time it well and release it a couple months before ME2 to tide me over till that's out.
Saying that, Sega will probably release it the same day so as to ensure it sinks without a trace. The mega-lamo name will help in that goal.
Going back a bit, is it just me or is anyone else reminded by the interface of Corporation? -

/has ran out of new RPGs
I'm eager for AP, from what I've been told the game is done. Sega are just dragging their heels, why is beyond me.
Especially since most of the big hitters have been moved Q1.
I can't really remember corporation to be fair, It was on the mega drive wasn't it?
I'm also hoping that ME2 comes out in Jan, although that looks unlikely given there hasn't been that much of a build up in marketing.
You picking up Risen or DragonAge this year Khani? -

Considering Obsidians history you should be glad that they aren't pushing it out the door right away.
Well I'm all too aware of their buggy history as I said in a post up the page.
But I'm hopeful that they have gone some way to address that reputation, also not being kicked out of the door like they were with KOTORII will help. -

Registered 15 years agoThis has gone very quiet recently which is a bit of a worry. Release date is still set for Spring though isn't it?
I'm not just bumping for that question though. Has anyone preordered from CDWow before? What are they like at hitting the exact launch day with their deliveries? I ask because AP (PC) is current available for £14.99 from them! -

Registered 19 years agoWell according to a game banshee interview with Avellone last week virtually all the designers have moved from AP to the Fallout expansion now, so it should just be bug fixing and technical things to go I'd have thought? -

Or not, as the case usually is with Obsidian..
When finishing off a game you usually move designers and artists off the project while programmers, testers and producers are left to fix and find the last remaining bugs. -
pretty sure SEGA held it back in part because it wasn't enough like Mass Effect or something
