Any quick, microwavable snack things you can tolerate eating? I find Rustler's a bit disgusting. However, my current lazy microwavable snack of choice is Ugo's Panini which is actually not bad - definitely the best microwavable thing I've had. 2nd and 3rd place go to Chicago Town's hotwings and Chicago Town's potato.. things with cheese/bacon, respectively. |

Registered 14 years agoHow could a Panini possibly work in a Microwave?
Surely it would be soft? -

Registered 11 years agoYeah, I sincerely doubt it's a very authentic one. Essentially just two slices of bread, a few pieces of chicken, some cheese and some pesto sauce really. The bread has come out harder before, but that's probably because I heated it too much/too little and not intended. -

They actually come out rock solid most of the time, and are absoloutely disgusting. Still, I bought them for a while when they were cheap, for I am a pikey. \o/

I do like Rustlers burgers though. They don't really taste like meat, but whatever it is they do taste like I enjoy. I also like Feasters bacon and egg muffins. -

Can you be more specific?
Not really, you know exactly what I'm referring to - the 'DONE IN 70 SECONDS!!!' type of microwave snacks.

Registered 12 years agoSandwiches from the microwave never turn out well, imo. The bread gets too rubbery and nasty. There really aren't many things I feel turn out "well" from the microwave, aside from reheated, homemade meals (and only if they were good to begin with).
Some of the pasta ones they're coming out with aren't bad, but anything with chicken or beef is usually gross. -

Not on the meal front, but a lot of vedge comes out brilliantly, especially corn on the cob.

Registered 12 years agoI've never tried corn on the cob, but frozen corn. And, yes, it does come out fine if you don't overheat it. Veggies are the only decent thing in most microwave meals, actually. -

Microwaves are expressly designed to superheat the water in a mug to teach Americans the value of using a fucking kettle.

They are not actually meant for food.
