Has anyone else had some seriously bad slowdown in RAW, to the extent that it looks that the game has frozen (1 frame every couple of seconds) ?

I'm saving to a USB stick & know from experience that some games really are not optimised to save to it - Lara Croft XBLA game is rendered unplayable by the constant auto-saving throughout the levels and comes to a juddering halt every few seconds

RAW i'm not so sure about, as the points where it slowed down it did not appear to be auto saving as far as i could see

Happened really badly at the desert (2nd ?) level when playing as the female character, and also during the first level
Hasn't stopped me enjoying it-seems like Balders Gate Lite, which suits me as i hate stat heavy action RPGs where you have to micro manage your inventory, etc

Not seen any slow down at all, and I'm a few levels past the desert now.

Only played as the wizard so far, but I'm finding it a nice diversion from Ninja and Borderlands 2.

Anyone know when the trials dlc is out? The trailer said September but that is looking less likely as there still isn't a release date

For those interested: the Avengers Chronicles and Cpt America tables for Pinball FX2 are now half price (400 and 120 points) (at least on, not yet on the DOTW page mind)

I do have a US account, from when Trenched came out, but I pretty much always forget to keep an eye on the US sales.

800 points seems like a bargain for Crysis. I happily played it at 1840 points, or whatever it was, and felt like I'd had my money out of it, but that might be because my PCs were never cool enough to run it.

The Crysis situation is kinda interesting in this regard because in the US it was only ever $14.99 in real money anyway, I believe, whereas in the UK it was £14.99 - already a bit of a markup, especially if you compare how much it would cost to cover that with Microsoft Points. The reduction to 800 points in the US isn't as large an MSP reduction if such a thing were ever to happen over here (hahahahahaha! as if!)

I cannot be arsed to figure out exactly how much 1840 points cost me, because I'm forever on the prowl for the cheaper 2100 cards when they crop up, but if I've bought 2100 for £14.99, then I suppose that makes Crysis £13.13. I'm sure that might seem criminal, but I was and am happy with it at that price, given that I can't buy it in solid form and I do like to pay money to developers for games whenever possible.

I actually have 900-odd points on my US account that I got for free somehow. But I'm not bothered about Crysis. :)

Tempted to buy more pinball tables this week. Shouldn't, because I've barely played the last batch, but.... tempted.

Huge Dance Central 2 DLC sale just starting as well, by the looks of it. If any of you like to get your groove on at the weekends.

Anyone purchase the ninja game? Demo was fun and edge was very positive about it with a 8 score.

@revan8 - I bought it. Best arcade game this year imho. 1200 points is a bargain.

Mark of the Ninja looks and is by all accounts great but a Steam version has been confirmed so I'm gonna wait for that.

Looks like there's a bunch of Xbox backwards compatibility games on sale as well at the minute. A bunch of them down to 800 from 1200 (which is still too much, to be frank) - Halo, Black, Fable, Jade Empire, etc. etc. All the usual suspects.

Let's be clear here: Black is worth 8000 points.

And yet it's available for £3 from popular online retailers.

Btw March 2011 sent a telegram via flux-capacitor carrier pigeon asking for its marketplace deals back.

Loved the demo, definite purchase at some point when I have the money. Loads of games I want this coming month though. EG gave it a 9 so it's reviewed very well by some notoriously fickle sites.

So Marvel vs Capcom Origins today then?

Once upon a time I would have been excited but I'm totally burnt out on fighting games now.

1200pts for anyone that's interested, it includes Marvel Super Heroes and the first Marvel vs. Capcom.

I would dearly like them to release X-Men vs Streetfighter, I played that to death in the arcade
  • Deleted user 2 October 2012 12:22:52
Some new deals seem to be gradually filtering through.

So far some COD DLC and an old Street Fighter game.....
  • Deleted user 2 October 2012 12:24:27
    And Trials HD 1200 > 800.

Happened yesterday so maybe a permanent reduction?

Looks like a lot of the same old stuff TBH, which is a bit disappointing.

Mind you, there's a number of XBLA titles I've still to play and would happily pay full price for (Fez, JSR, NiGHTS...) so I shalln't moan about not being tempted to add more cheap titles to my 'to play' list.

BTW, I picked up Splatters on the cheap a while back and, while I played and enjoyed it for an hour or so, I haven't gone back to it.

Anyone else want to bet the Activision publisher sale will be a load of old COD DLC?
