Another popped into my head today Cosmic... it's not really electronica, but try Florence + The Machine if you're into female vocalists.

welcome :) It's not a massive venue but it will be a friendly dedicated happy crowd. I still haven't bought my ticket as I'm trying to convince the bf that he wants to go out this year. Youth of today have no stamina unfortunately. Hope it doesn't sell out before I guilt him into it.

Same problem I've got, the wife is umming and aahing, ivthink shell come round it all depends if we can push our visit to our friends back by a few days.

I used to nick other peoples poppers and then really regret it :)

I bet we know quite a few of the same people I hardly didn't go between 1995 and 1998.

Entirely possible, but I was living away from Brum from 96-01 but I still went back now and then. Fell right back into HOG's embrace on my return. That and Chaotic City, and Atomic Jam, and Earko...

I saw Fever Ray here in Stockholm on tuesday. It was probably the best concert I've been to the past five years. Utterly brilliant. If you have a chance to catch her last ever gig in london tomorrow you must do it.

Stoked for the new Knife album next year. I saw them in Barcelona a few years ago; they were amazing. Really gutted I can't go see Fever Ray play live.

Imploring people who like Jim O'Rourke's Roeg Cycle (Bad Timing/Eureka/Insignificance) to hunt out (it's on Spotify) Nathan Michel's "The Beast".

New Autechre album has been announced called Oversteps... if their set at the recent Warp20 show was anything to go by they may have embraced the gorgeous synth heavy sound of their early days again, which would be a dream come true!

Not an electronic band i know but the Placebo cover of Running Up That Hill is great, imho, very atmospheric and currently playing on the Daybreakers trailer.

Just started listening to Acolyte by Delphic, i like it.. sounds Hot Chip/Empire of The Sun influenced with a bit of New Order in there.

Oni Ayhun, which is, apperantly, a pseudonym for Olof Dreijer from The Knife. I hadn't heard about tthis before today, but from I've listened to so far it's some nice atmospheric techno.

I don't think he's been mentioned but Dan Deacon's Bromst is a goddamn fantastic album, one of my favourites of last year. It's uplifting off-kilter electronicness, with a hint of Four Tet.

This is one of the best tracks on the album, starts off slow, ends up mental

Indeed :) Mind you, I haven't seen them since Glade 2006, where the sound was so appallingly low that I don't think their hearts were in it.

The new minimal synth/cold wave stuff on Wierd Records (Led er Est, [link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wUq65XZp_RI&feature=player_embedded">Xeno & Oaklander, Automelodi) is good. There's a mix here and another

Apparently the London show is going to be something special... that either means a unique location of some kind or they will be bringing along some big name (in electronica circles...) friends as support acts.

Tasadi - Luna on the recent Pedro Del Mar intro song Mellomania #410 is amazing, best trance ever EVAR? He even shut up quickly acknowledging it's greatness.

Pure is such a weird place for Autechre to be playing

I might go see them, I've passed the opportunity up a couple of times - really not sure if they'd actually be good to see live where you'd have to stand up the whole time... it's not as though you can dance to it.
