Registered 9 years agoNot new musically, but the very excellent Chemical Brothers concert film "Don't Think" is released next month, available for pre-order here. Saw it at the cinema, cracking stuff, really well put together. -

Registered 7 years agoWhat do the thread regulars make of Kindred then? Pretty amazing, IMO. The title track is just stunning. -
The new Phantogram e.p is very nice stuff.
Very different to the first album which was a bit of a melting pot but this has been played consistently this week. -

Registered 7 years agoIs it all as good as Don't Move? That's a CHOON. -
Rec me a thing by them. -
Don't move is the stand out track but as a whole it works really well. i found Eyelid Movies had a few duff tracks on it but the E.P is great. A Dark Tunnel is great as well.
Is Kindred the new Burial E.P must check it out if so. -

Registered 7 years agoI posted that a while ago. I think very few of them are actually unreleased. The Burial one is off the Street Halo EP, for example. Still not a bad starter compilation though. -
@Tom_Servo Ahh sorry. Didn't check the earlier posts in the thread. The Ghostly Swim one is another good one as well though. -

I can recommend the album Chiptek, but it all seems to be free downloads so step to it.
EDIT - example youtube video (featuring what I believe to be a sample of the snare from the Sonic title music, correct me if I am wrong nerds)

DVD with alternate soundtrack / slideshow. Originally commissioned for a Cinetrip gig in Budapest in 2001, this re-imagined soundtrack for the Monkees’ career-ruining film ‘Head’, mutated into a full blown project over the next 4 years. Originally performed live on 3 turntables to the showing of the film, the score evolved with each performance until a perfect mix of tracks could be found for each scene. Finally, at the end of 2004 a finished version was recorded and synched to the film for this limited promo DVD housed in a mirrorboard cover, mimicking the original vinyl release.
