It has the dubious honour of being the only funny British show ever shown on BBC3.

I agree, thought it was already, some good funny moments, don't think it has anywhere near the shine and pace of the first series.

Was a poor episode I thought. Only thing that made me laugh really was when Doris went into the house, looked at the table and said "Shit! You've been busy." and that was only because I find old woman swearing hilarious! Other than that it was a bit poo. I'm a big fan too, bah.

Yeah, Doris was superb. That was one of my few laugh out loud moments. And Nessa with her smelly feet. It still has a certain charm about it.

Thought it was good, nicely easing everyone back in and when I noticed Dorris in the background on the drums behind Brynn I cracked up :D

Yeah, Doris was excellent throughout. Bryn and Pamela were quality as usual, though they didn't get much material this episode. And there was too much touchy-feely Nessa and Smithy stuff for my liking. But hey, it's only half an hour. You can't have a everything in just one episode - it's not a special, despite how built up it has been.

Yeah that's fair enough. Think I was expecting too much.

Stacey's cans were top notch though I must say.

Old people swearing are funny - but I hope they don't over do it with Dorris though.

We loved the first two series - we'd never seen them when they were on so gorged on the DVDs over a couple of weeks last year and really enjoyed it all.

Watched last night and it raised two laughs and the rest was just gentle family fluff. Not really very funny, not really very engaging, just the usual. I find the granny-that-swears character so incredibly lazy and at the same time quite amusing, which is a bit of a conflict.

Yes. Would. She'd have to promise not to speak though.

    3b, 29, 37 and half a dozen popadoms

What's a 'white english' btw? Any different to a brown/yellow/greeen/turquoise english? I know plenty of Asian folks who order curries by that modern wonder the telephone. They even like pizza from time to time.

    White english indeed

im off to see rob brydon? live on saturday.. so thought id better watch this, its alright.. reminded me a bit of 2 pints in an easy watching type of way.
  • Deleted user 4 December 2009 00:50:50
Its better than 2 pints. Having no canned audience laughs makes it so. Rob B is very good live, saw him about 3 years ago - he's very sharp

Better than 2 pints? Hardly a recommendation. Farting in the bath is more fun than watching 2 pints. Even when it'[s a smelly one. Glad to find I'm not the only one who doesn't find this show funny. Each to their own though, I guess.

I don't, but then I live in Birmingham, and my local favourite curryhouse will make me things that aren't on the menu if I ask nicely.

    Just point and TALK LOUDER

yes it was an odd comment to begin with

ps - do they make you omlettes if you ask politely, my local in Leicester doesn't :(

I think my local curry house would make me sushi if I asked them nicely, I've been going there for almost 20 years and the manager wants to marry me.
  • Deleted user 4 December 2009 03:21:24
hmmm, must ask nicer in future then, the swordfish shashlick is becomining a little bit too traditional

Indian wedings are good, although a little bit OTT, my street gets flooded with cars every other weekend so consider that if you decide to accept his proposal one evening after too many Cobra's

I love the weddings, we get tons round here. I like the bit when the bridegroom comes to get the bride and the brides family pretend they are not going to let her go and cry. It goes on for ages.

I'm never going to say yes to him, I value my free poppadoms too highly.
  • Deleted user 4 December 2009 03:30:12
I concur, never let romance get in the way of good popadoms. That ought to be law

Just had to add, Two points is easily one of the shittest things on tv, how the fook it continually get re-commissioned I will never know. Proud to say I have NEVER seen a complete episode.
Gavlar and Staclay is gentle humour but it does have charm.

*I know last years xmas special was bellow par, but Pulling is miles funnier
