I was enjoying the investigations, but the mini games (which, in fairness, you could usually skip), poor controls on the actions sequences and ponderous puzzles such the little joy away. -

The only real problem I had with Nioh is that like Ninja Gaiden is that there are some really effective techniques that are too easy to spam to victory.
Much the same way the dashing decap was OP.
Still, I regard NGB as GOAT so it's obviously joy that much of a problem. -
Nioh is better than code vein for certain.
Honestly. the thing that drags Nioh below dark souls are some of its boss fights and the mission structure detracts from the world a little.

Registered 7 years agoI abandoned a few games that are available on XB gamepass for PC. Not going to name them and piss off many people here, as I understand "metroidvanias" are extremely popular around here.
I dunno, I just can't get into them. They look all the same to me regardless of how awesome environments and visual effects/story they have.
I mean, jump around ledges, press x to hack, find a power up to your sword/armor/whatever. Defeat a boss, rinse and repeat. Not sure why I don't enjoy them, I used to LOVE Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.

I thought I would love Nioh given it is a souls rip off. But I hated it. Absolutely hated it. I hate it so much.
Maybe it's because my hands have more dexterity than my jaw. Not sure but I am sure that I hated it. -

Souls is great. Some peeps just can't handle the pressure. Infact it's pretty well known that haters of souls support noncing and have extensive MJ and Glitter record collections. -

Registered 6 years agoSurely Nioh players would need the quick hand reflexes considering how much faster the combat is? I would land a 14 hit combo before you treacle fisted Souls players even had time to do an arthritic forward roll. -
