HELLO IT IS SUNNY OUTDIDE WOULD YOU LIKE A NICE GLASS OF LEMONADE YES

    ...

Anyway, the weather seems to think it's summer already, so LET US ENJOY a nice mixtape challenge.

Rules are simple: Compile a 10 track mixtape that you would listen to on, say, a summer's drive through the countryside or a meander around the beach or ANYTHING LIKE THAT. Use your imaginations, fuckos, I'm not here to describe YOUR LIFE FOR YOU.

    Wait, where was I.

Oh, yes. 10 track mixtape. Any genre, as obscure or mainstream as you like. No bonus points for including the little-known techno-remix of Obscurity by the Obscure Band of Obscurosia. In fact, no points at all. It's a challenge, not a competition, you WHINING CUNTS.

    ...

    Sorry, sorry.

ANYWAY. You have a few options available, but for the best mixtapes make the tracks available (if you don't have a convenient place to store, I have hosting available). You can either keep them all individual tracks or compile it into one uber-MP3, the choice is yours.

A couple of brief notes wouldn't go amiss either, why you chose a particular track, why you put them in the order you did, and so on and so forth.

YOU WILL MAKE MIXTAPES NOW YES

I'll have mine sorted possibly later this afternoon, depending on how much work I get done.

Running Down A Dream. Tom Petty
    The Chain. Fleetwood Mac.
Motorcycle Emptiness. Manics, might be the wrong title, but you guys will know.
    My Blue Sky. ELO
Tango In The Night. Fleetwood Mac.
    Money For Nothing 12" version.
    Audioslave. Cochise
    Soundgarden. Black Hole Sun.
    Undercover Of The Night. Stones
    Paperback Writer. The Beatles.

This of course is all subject to change in a matter of minutes, but at the moment I stand by them all.

Good Idea! Should nick the Summer Burn from Funjunkie and make a group or something to organise it in.

    http://www.funjunkie.co.uk/the_summer_burn.cfm

It's all very exciting getting the extra post! Still have the CDs somewhere.

The tune from the old sunny cartoon Kia-Ora advert should feature heavily.

    A1: Caught in the Middle
N Trance featuring Ricardo Da Force: Staying Alive
    Chemical Brothers: Surface To Air

Start strong, get funky, go retro and then chill for the comedown. Nice.

    Caribou - Melody Day
The Beach Boys - Good Vibrations
    El Guincho - Antillas
    Panda Bear - Bros
    Animal Collective - Grass
    Animal Collective - Water Curses
The Beach Boys - I Get Around
The Beach Boys - Wouldn't It Be Nice
    Panda Bear - Take Pills
Cut Copy - Hearts On Fire (Midnight Juggernauts remix)

Sorry for the lack of variation (there's only 6 artists there), but it really is the best I could come up with.....

    ....in 2 minutes.

BTW, these are all from my iTunes library (just a quick scour through and wondering what I'd put in), so I could upload them all into a zip file later on.

And as for why I put them in? They're all really summer-y, that's about it. :)

Whether the two Panda Bear songs will work, I'm not sure. Might as well find out though.

There's no particular order to these, apart from the first, last and fifth tracks so do what you want with it apart from those three.

BTW, I don't think the first and fifth tracks will work. They're m4p's, so in other words I downloaded them from iTunes. Last time I do that, let me tell you.
