Yep, no stopping Kobe atm, Spurs need a run *now* or it's 2-0 Lakers.

With only a quarter to go,the Lakers have this one in the bag.
They have to play really badly to lose this 18 point advantage.
Anyone knows when is game 3 and 4?

They play every other day in this series and the Det/Bos one, so game 3 is Sunday and game 4 is Tuesday.

Heh, thought I could slip in some knowledge there, you learn something new every day!

Like you say, Lakers have steadily pulled away. SA just can't match up in any department tonight, will have to just think back to that NO series and how bad they got beat on the road in the first two games there. Doesn't help that LA has nailed a couple of threes to start the 4th, though!

That was a shocking result.I think nobody expected the Lakers to win by 30 points.So,2-0 Lakers, the Spurs better get a convincing win on Sunday if they want to go the final.

Yep, Spurs sort of gave up a bit in the 4th, they've had two far harder series than the Lakers have had to get here and it looked like it was starting to show. Clearly a must-win game coming up for them, but I can't see much chance of them winning the series.

Boston/Detroit, on the other hand, after watching both of the first two games there I wouldn't be surprised to see that go to seven.

I aim to please. :) Let's just hope Boston play a bit better than they did in game 2.

Celtics off to a very good start, be nice if they can keep the pace up and take a lead in the series.

Yes, they've started "a little" better. :) Would like to see them win as I would think it will be a better series that way than if Detroit can maybe go 3-1 up with a win in the next game.

Wow, talk about a game of runs. Bos open with an 11-0, Detroit have an 11-0 to take the lead, Bos end on a 10-0 run!

Great game on now, real tough D and some good shots being made.

If Boston can just play tight to the half then they're looking good for it. KG back and they're scoring when they need to.

tbf, it's Boston finally stepping up and proving that they're championship calibre. Their attitude has been tip-top.

Tigers won huge, too, only Pistons letting the side down.

And they must be kicking themselves for such a bad show in the first ten mins or so of that 3rd! Would have still been in the game at this stage otherwise.

Manu starting on the bench again... can only think that he has more of an injury than it looked in the last game. I really should read more pre-game reports when I'm not in work.

Decent start for Kobe and Pau, Spurs missing some shots but haven't let LA get out to much of a lead.

Lakers by three is about right at the end of 1. An LA 8-0 was virtually cancelled out by two Manu's treys in the space of about 30 seconds, both teams playing pretty well at the moment tbf.

Now that is a response for the Spurs, and from Manu Ginobili. He's hit FIVE from downtown, and has the crowd rocking. Parker is mixing it up well, driving to the basket nicely and Timmeh is hitting the boards (as he has done for most of the series, tbf) even if he is missing a few of his shots. Playing great D on Odom and it's only really Kobe who can score atm for the Lakers.SA just needs to play close for the third quarter and they should be right back in this series.

Absolutely perfect quarter for the Spurs, controlled the pace and made sure the Lakers weren't going to have a 30 point quarter. Duncan made a couple of big shots, but they basically played solid, sensible basketball which was exactly what was needed. Up by 12 going into the fourth, I don't like to say "in the bag" but I think LA needed to have the deficit down to single figures at least to have a realistic chance.

Just a great performance from the Spurs, Kobe only really caught fire in the fourth a little, but while he was sitting early in the quarter the Spurs had already extended the lead. Brent Barry had a superb game, Manu kept scoring, Timmeh found his shot, Parker kept driving to the hoop and it would appear to be "game on" in the series.

OK, all set for Celtics/Pistons round 4!

And don't forget that game two of the Stanley Cup finals is on, if you can spare an eye.

Game opened up as an exact reverse of game 3, Bos looking sluggish and Detroit not missing shots to go up 10-0. Celtics have ground their way back into it in the banker-of-the-year low scoring 1st quarter to only be down 5, Pierce looking good. Detroit's big players are scoring points, though, which has to be good for them after Billups and Price were so poor last time.

Oh, and Maxiell is having a highlight game - a huge block of what would have been a KG and then just now a huge finish on the alley-oop going right over the top of KG. The block really was awesome.
