A new 'vs' game is in the works, although only confirmed for an arcade release at the moment. Can't imagine it'd have much appeal outside of Japan.

Could be good.

It was pretty cool playing as Battle of the Planets characters in Tatsunoko Fight on the PS1.

Hoho I grew up on Tatsunoko stuff, liked it very much when I was a kid. Nice to see it's still around.

Check the link that bef supplied; it's coming to Wii though you're probably right that it will be after an arcade release but only in Japan.

It's probably the same with this title as with the DS fighter Jump Superstars: here in Europe there isn't one license holder for al the different Tatsunoko characters so it will take too much legal effort to publish it. Right?

I think you're right bef; additionally a lot of the characters are completely unknown to the western market too so I doubt it would do well.

Quite looking forward to this, though, just wondering if my fairly decent PS2/GC/works on Wii converter will be enough, or if I'll be tempted to shell out for a Wii stick. :/

Awesome gameplay indeed - especially that insane explosive KO at the end! I used to be really good at kicking ass as Morrigan - still got most of the moves burned into my brain from Vampire Hunter/Capcom Vs SNK 2.

Anyway, last I heard, Capcom USA were reputably trying their best to get the game an American release at least but obviously the licensing issues are going to be a nightmare.
