Just jump in the air and do whatever your air move is and your air hyper combo for the last guy. In the grand scheme of cheap capcom bosses, he is actually pretty easy. |

Registered 15 years agoSo, in short this game is good but Nintendo's rubbish online service ruins the online multiplayer? -

Registered 13 years agoI've never had any problem with multiplayer outside of getting my ass kicked.
I finally beat Yami yesterday, so I'm feeling a lot better about the game now. Super jumping over the dreaded hype attack was the key; otherwise I just blocked and did regular attacks. Really crap final boss, though and rubbish reward for kicking its ass -- not even one character unlock??!!?? They really should have had M. Bison and Zoltar as a boss tag team -- that would have been excellent! -

Registered 15 years agoI'd be going in to a Lv.5 hyper rage combo on the nearest wall or somesuch now if I were you.
This is a great game by the way, to anyone faltering over to whether or not to get it. I use the classic controller and it suits me fine (being a SNES veteran it always fels right to me). The only Vs Game I've played before was Capcom vs SNK on Dreamcast, and I think this is much better (though that was a great game too).
Not had a chance to try online yet as I'm still waiting for me broadband to be installed. Talk Talk are fuckers -

Which one did you get? I swear by the Classic Linker Plus: supports CC and CC Pro and the Playstation 1/2 pads. I use it via a Gamecube extension cable and it does the business for Midway Arcade Treasures and using a CC with Metal Slug Anthology on the Wii. -

I'm starting to think I should just sell this, because I completely suck at it! How many hours does it take for you guys to get any good at it? I'm sticking with the mote-chuk combo i think, it's just easier. Although it's annoying how some characters moves are different, or you can't do certain moves like you can in the CC.
I've decided I play best with Tekkaman, I don't know if he's particularly stronger than other characters or my random flailing manages to get to his special moves. -

"VOLTEKAAAAA!!!!!"
I've recently started using a Soki/Morrigan combo online which is working really well. Can easily chain combo into an aerial combo with Soki and I'm constantly good as Morrigan since I've been using her since Darkstalkers in any fighting game she appears in. Also handy that I can chain combo into Darkness Illusion pretty easily as her. -

I just got this today, cannot wait to sink my teeth into it. -

Registered 13 years agoIt's like a drug, really. Considering I was originally not going to get this at all (I've certainly had the ability to play CG of H since it was released, but couldn't be bothered) and was on the verge of selling it due to hating the final boss so much, I'm a bit surprised by how much I enjoy it.
There are other games unplayed on the shelf, but it just keeps staying in the drive. I almost have to will myself to put in Rabbids Go Home or really anything else. I haven't played this much Street Fighter since the "original" (SFII) was in the arcades. Happy to note that my older, less-supple skin means I'm not forming a blister on my d-pad thumb like I did when I was playing it in every free moment on a mate's Genesis/MD.
I really hope they do a sequel with more characters and a less shit final boss. -

Completely agree, I don't want to play as Ryu but I'm forced to because of the lack of Kenneth! -

Registered 13 years agoCheck it out, this game must be doing decent numbers because Capcom are doing a competition in the States asking people to name characters they'd most like to see in a sequel! -

Registered 16 years agoMy order should arrive sometime this week as well. I already have the Classic Controller Pro, which made me feel like a 5 year old again when I couldn't let go of my penis. It's much better than the standard controller.
No idea if I should invest in a proper stick, I'm not really sure if it's necessary for that kind of game (I do have one for SF 4 though). -

I'm sure it got reviewed, I remember 8/10 being awarded, maybe I made it up.
It's absolutely amazing. -

Registered 16 years agoThere was a review quite a while back, I think even before a release in the US was confirmed; Or maybe the US was already confirmed but Europe wasn't. Anyhow, it scored 8/10. -

Registered 15 years agoSomeone else here was using a PS2 - gamecube adapter to use a PS2 stick on the Wii. I've got one now, but it's not working either with the stick or PS2 pad. Any tips? -

Registered 15 years agoThis game just gets better the more you play it! Can be tough as nails on the hardest difficulty, some of the chain combos the AI can dish up are ridiculous. Ill never get tired of using ryus hadoken super in a air juggle combo! Thats if i can pull it off half the time!
Ive been mainly using capcom characters, did use ipputsuman for a while, but a general rule for me is to never use characters whos specials are charge moves, ive been put off charge moves since guile in SF2.
Really though, this is 2nd only to smash bros as the best fighter on the wii! Its a blast! -

What adapter are you using and what pad/stick? I know some adapters that claim to be PS2 compatible are actually only PS1 and vice-versa which sucks because the plugs are the same, but apparently the pinouts are not.
I've used a PS dual analogue (sans "shock") with a Classic Linker and Classic Linker+ with success and in conjunction with a Gamecube extension cable.
If you're sure it should be working, then I'd try disconnecting/reconnecting the controller from the adapter and then the adapter from the Gamecube port. Might also be an idea to try with and without memory card installed on the remote chance that's causing a problem. -

Registered 18 years agoOn top of that, some are only compatible with official Sony PCBs, so if you have a third party pad or a HORI stick there is a chance it won't work.
Another weird thing is that it seems that all nine pins in the pad connector (don't know the actual term, the bit you plug into the console) need to be fully connected with some convertors, whereas I don't actually think this is the case to get the pad working on the PS2, so make sure one of the pins hasn't been pushed a bit down into the connector. Pull them all up with a pair of tweasers if it looks like they're not all fully "up".
