@cheeky_prawnking - Just bought a second-hand D700 myself and am absolutely loving it. But I'm really into shallow depth of field and wide angles so full frame suits me down to the ground - you may not be the same. I know you like macro, I don't think you'll gain a huge amount by going full-frame for that.

It wouldn't be for that, would be for the same things you mention. I have so many primes almost seems a shame to not have them on something they were designed for.

you got the hard part out of the way having various primes :) at least you can go to the d700 and use them all and get good results with them and get rewarded with your previous investments. The quality that the d700 when used right is outstanding imo.

I just got a 50mm.. its great but its not excatly great for alot of things. I have a 90 mm on my Medium format camera. So myself am looking for a wider lens, but its not excatly where i work within but it be nice to have one anyhow.

In fact you need to think about your camera and lenses, and look at all your photos you taken and maybe think taking your hobby a bit further with specialised cameras for certain things.

Its really easy to use, but i find it frustrating that all the RAW files are NEFS and the adobe programs you have to find plug in etc. But viewnx2 which is free, is really helpful converting to tiffs etc.
Unless you have seriously old Adobe software, it will all read D700 NEFs no trouble at all.
ok will have to try that out. I have the bundled Photo elements 6. and have to go through this labourous process. I have used aperture, and lightroom etc but trials ahve run out. I will get round to get a full software package soon.
