I do quite a bit of photoshopping for website purposes, not so much for printed photos. Apart from redeye I often use sharpen/soften, change the tone balance/colour balance, also selectively change contrast/brightness - for example, where you've taken a portrait against a bright background, but you don't want to wash out that bright background, mask it out and lighten the portrait. Especially useful if you don't have a fill-in flash handy or if it wasn't usable. That kind of thing. Forget about cheesy effects though. |
