Anyone been to Smashburger in Brighton? Going there tomorrow to make use of my Bank Holiday and was wondering if it was nice? Are there any other burger places worth trying?

So, it's now early June. Is there any indication that there will be another Burger Day event in August, like last year?

This is Manchester: the usual meaty double cheeseburger with beef onion gravy, mustard and chips as a topper. Yeah a Poutine!
Really tasty, felt like I was having a roast beef dinner in my mouth.

Not sure if I'd have it again due to the English mustard ingredient. So many burgers to try.
Went here on your recommendation as my last meal before moving out of Manchester. Got the This is Manchester as well and thought it was absolutely beautiful.

Not sure if this has been posted before, but Timeout is doing a 'giftbox' for burger enthusiasts:

    Description_here

Pay £29.99 and get half off your food bill in loads of burger places:

    Bad Egg
    Bar Boulud
    Bleecker Burger (all venues)
    Burger & Beyond (all venues)
    Honest Burgers (all venues)
    Lucky Chip

I'm no expert, user Load_2.0, but surely getting paid to have the shits is very much the best time?

When I was a contractor who never actually did anything or left the house it was fine. I could shit with gay abandon.

Now im back in the spinning cogs of corporate life i fear catastrophic results and a colleague being in a stall next to me.

That kind of thing is hard to overcome. Especially if you have to meet with them later in the day.

Had the Taxidriver from Gourmet Burger Kitchen yesterday. Was ok. I swear they massively under-season the burgers.

Had a Dead Hippie from Meatliqour in Brixton Village at the weekend (obligatory side order of Monkey Fingers too!). Always hits the spot.

Made my own burgers again but using pizza dough to wrap the burger and put it back in the oven is really nice (have to use egg yolk to make it really golden)

Yeah, that's really not right is it?

Really been getting into double smashed burgers recently, no fuss, no OTT toppings - just good meat, cheese, onion, tomato, iceberg and bad american cheese and mustard. Nothing quite beats this burger, really shows off the meat, no confusing shite to fuck the flavour of the beef up. Simple is best with burgers sometimes.

Wrapping a decent burger in pizza dough is a far more extreme crime.

Date seems to have pushed back a week to Thu 30th Aug.
Still no sign of tickets being on sale yet.

Well that's shit. That date is no good for me so looks like I won't be going. It's pretty stupid to change the date without warning or reason.
