Normally they would be hyping it by now but there's no information at all.

    Damp squib...?
Seems odd as last year was surely a success.

It does seem like they have some problems with it this year. They moved the date forward a week ( to give themselves more time it seems ) and then the lack of any news or information.

I have no idea. It always seems to sell out so... Maybe it's just logistical problems. Who knows. I don't care because i can't go /cryface.

Yeah, up in my grill. They are shit at everything they touch. How they are still in the street foo game is anybodies guess.

The more I travel, the more I'm convinced you cannot ever get a good burger in Britain. Simply put, the general quality of beef is complete shit unless you fork out for an imported steak.

Even tho I'm in the US where you'd expect a good burger, to this day the best I've had was in Germany.

Work meal / drinks this afternoon and they surprisingly agreed to go to Meat Liquor. Will soon be smashing a Dead Hippie and some chilli cheese fries.

Since I won't be able to attend International Burger Day this year (inset very sad face emoji) I will still be celebrating the greatest day of the year by making my own special burger. I've been brainstorming and come up with some ideas. I must have been hungry because I came up with some beautiful filthy burgers!

    THE MOO THAI
Thai red cury flavoured beef patty on a bed of som tam topped with coconut cream and shaved coconut

    THE SNOUT & SEA
Pork belly patty with seared scallops, crispy pancetta with lashings of hollandaise sauce

    THE GODZILLA
Beef patty topped with tempura prawn on a bed of lettuce with, crispy bacon, atomic breath chilli sauce and miso mayo

    THE DELI BELLY BUSTER
Lamb patty on a bed of sauteed onions and crumbled Bombay mix topped with paneer and raitha sauce

    THE COW ABUNGA
Triangle beef party drenched in extra thick sweet marinara sauce, burger cheese, and burger sauce between two pepperoni pizza slices

    THE LET'S BE FRANK BURGER
butterflied chicken breast double fried in a Korean style crispy batter, on a bed of lettuce, coated Frank's hot sauce and blue cheese dressing

I think I'll make THE COW ABUNGA burger but they all sound good so it's hard to choose. I'll probably make them all over the coming weeks

I hadn't heard of these before... Those are some epic looking burgers. None near me though. I see there is a branch in Eastbourne. I was on holiday there a few years ago. Why didn't I know? WHY.

Ah, man. That looks amazing. I made something like the dip and flip quite recently (minus the pork belly and whatnot) and it was amazing.

Smashed parties are the bomb, yo, so I would definitely kick off with that.

I do not condone wet burgers that defile the structural integrity of the bun. Seems like it should be illegal as well as immoral

I actually thought that Bleecker burger sounded awful. Actually I haven't liked any of their burger day specials.

They still got tickects I wasn't going to go... My other half is now working till 5:30 and I'm working too. We both had the day off on the usual day they hold it. Now we won't get there till around 7pm. It's probably not worth it. Still tempted but because of getting there late I probably won't. They normally have sold out a couple of days before. I think they fucked themselves a bit by moving the date without any warning and no communication.

I do like pineapple but I want it nowhere near my beef burger! Also does that work with chimichurri? You've already got an acidic sweet thing in the pineapple now you're adding an acidic sauce with parsly to it? For me none of that works but each to their own! If any of you lot go i'll be intrigued to see what you thought.
