Jah, absolutely love the film - watched it again the other day and was shocked to discover that the CGI is already looking a bit 'iffy' in places. Still, I eventually stopped worrying about that and enjoyed it immensely all over again.

I really hope this series doesn't turn in to another 'Under the Dome' - even that show was promising enough but it turned into a drawn-out cheese-fest.

Ugh, ok, so I tried the first episode. For reference, I'm a fan of both the original short-story and the film. Both good in their own ways.

The first episode of this was awful. I guess we know what the writing team from Mass Effect: Andromeda did next...

@Rogueywon Same here, the original story is one of my favourite King stories, and I thought the film was actually a pretty decent adaptation on the whole. This, however, is pretty terrible.

Just as the 'Under the Dome' series kept the dome premise but completely changed everything else for the worse, this has kept the mist and literally thrown the rest of the story away.

I've managed four episodes, but now I think I'm done.

Despite the reports of how bad it is I am curious to see it. Is it on any UK channels at all or do we have to 'import '?

The first episode rapidly exceeded my tolerance level so I couldn't even make it to half way.

If you're determined to punish yourself, all the episodes will be available as torrents. If you're in a country where Pirate Bay is blocked just search for Pirate Proxy first.

Apparently, The Mist has been cancelled.

It's a competitive market with a lot of competing TV series out there so I'm not going to claim this as a vindication of my own or others opinions on the quality of The Mist, still, I doubt many people are going to miss The Mist.

    It won't be Mist.

It was pretty cheesy but watchable. Late night TV fodder with brain running on standby. The main family were annoying though and you hoped they'd all die horribly... It was very inconsistent in its 'mystery' though. Sandwiching it with the very mispaced Twin Peaks 3 may have helped it for me though...

An expansion on the original story would have been a lot cooler though . Guess we get that in game form bext year (I think) in Julian Gollop's Phoenix Point. (Its website has about of setup fiction but haven't read much yet)

Watched the first episode. It's bloody awful.

Dull characters. Terrible soap opera melodrama. Bungled horror sequences. A weird, cheap cg effect for all the scenes shot in the mist.

The fact that it got unceremoniously dumped on Netflix without any fanfare whatsoever was a big clue that it was going to be terrible. Not surprised it's been cancelled.

A big pity though, because in the right hands it could have been a really interesting exercise to spin the King story out into an epic post apocalyptic series.

Yes we got about 3/4 through episode 2 before we abandoned it. Shame, I really wanted to enjoy it.
