It wouldn't surprise me that much, tbh. If you consider the US the main cause of the world's ills then the enemy of my enemy is my friend, right?

9% seems pretty low to me actually, I expected about 51.9%

Interestingly enough... NK does a lot of construction work in Africa. It's mostly brokered as sub-contracting for Chinese construction companies. Of course par for course all the money goes to the regime.
Historically, they also did a good line in training up African soldiers into war criminals: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zimbabwean_Fifth_Brigade

I suspect that's literally the percent of the population that didn't really understand the question, or doesn't know the difference between North and South, and just gave that answer for not particular reason.

I genuinely wouldn't be surprised to find out that 10% of the UK know NOTHING about Korea. North or South.

Look at the brexiteers and Trump voters, believing they're railing against the status quo. Perhaps they're just being contrary. I can fully believe that at least 9% of the people polled are stupid enough to admire North Korea sticking it to the man.

    Hopefully they're all sterile.
I'm definitely certain that one of those supporters is Jacob Rees-Mogg, unfortunately the bastard can't stop impregnating his wife.

It's been his plan all along, to breed enough cunts to vote him into power.

Is there anything about legalising polygamy in the Tory manifesto?

You're not cunts, I just find it funny that the same subject pops up in every other thread.
I mean I get that people talk about trump when n-korea is mentioned but the jump to tories was less clear to me.

What's the difference between the people of North Pyongyang and the people of lower Pyongyang?

The people of North Pyongyang wear green shows while the people of lower Pyongyang eat breadbuns for lunch!

    Oops, we did it again.
North Korea has fired a missile eastwards from its capital, Pyongyang, towards Japan, media reports say.

I'm a little concerned that we might not reach the 10th anniversary of phAge's component cable thread.

    Putin the voice of reason?
Kim Jong-un wants a real nuclear deterrent against the United States to ensure the survival of his government, believing it will strengthen his negotiating position when Pyongyang returns to talks.
    A more opinionated article
The North Korean regime’s string of long-range missile tests, paired with reports of miniaturized nuclear warheads, have brought debate over how the United States and its allies should, as The New York Times put it, “defang” Pyongyang’s missile programs. North Korea recently conducted the country’s sixth and largest nuclear test, prompting U.S. Defense Secretary Jim Mattis to warn that any threat could be met with a “massive military response.” What’s rarely mentioned amid the sensationalism of “breaking news,” however, is the presence of the region’s most powerful military power: the United States.

Only thing I don't get about that line of thinking is. We all know North Korea has nukes. America knows, China knows, Russia knows. We all know. And North Korea knows we all know. That's deterrent enough. What has shooting missiles all over the shop saying we're going to decimate everywhere got to do with anything?

Surely these tests are the complete opposite of a deterrent? These launch tests are pushing them closer and closer to war.

Well, you see... There are US military bases in Okinawa, Jeju and Guam. NK are demonstrating that they have missiles which can hit those targets. Also, I don't personally think they have functioning nuclear missiles quite yet. I think they're close though. That's the reason why the US us trying to antagonise them into a war now rather than wait a few years.

It's about trying to intimidate China/Russia/US/S. Korea into coming to the table to lift sanctions/give aid as well as to impress the North Korean public. It's a bizarre carrot-and-stick approach that they take.
