Heroes of Might and Magic 3 is on 50% sale at the moment. $4.99

I only had to look at 1 screenshot and immediately ordered it.

Now I fear I'm going to lose all those hours again playing this!

I have just discovered GOG thank to Pinebear, haven't played any PC games for many a year but now I have nice (if not all that powerful) laptop I can once again experience the joys of games I loved and hopefully discover some new ones.

So far I have just dipped my toe back to Planescape: Torment and Dungeon Keeper 2, excellent stuff but have a question regarding RPGs, I played and loved Baldur's Gate, also Neverwinter Nights was fun, but what RPGs have I missed from around that time?

Icewind Dale, Deus Ex for a more modern one.

You can filter for RPGs if you press a tab on GOG.

Definitely Fallout and Fallout 2, in case you missed playing them in the '90s.

Feel a bit like a five year old stuck in a, erm, game shop? For years it's been hard to get hold of these games and/or hard to get them running. Now they're all available and just... work. Almost takes the fun out of it really.

I'm still not over the fact that Freelancer never got a sequel...

I wish wish wish someone would make another game of a similar style. It's fucking brilliant. The closest thing I've played to it since is Enclave and that was an xbox game.

...and it's still fabulous. Worked out how to change the controls via dosbox keymapper, now g2g. I actually woke up in the middle of the night (dreaming about SWOS), logged into GoG just to buy it. Well worth the 4.

Picked Liverpool Vs. Man Utd as a first game friendly. Got twatted.

I purchased Theme Park on GOG a few days ago - my girlfriend has been playing Theme Park with the CorsixTH mod ever since: https://code.google.com/p/corsix-th/

Probably old news to most of you, but it makes an (already brilliant) game even...brilliant-er.

Nobody, NOBODY, buy Sensible Soccer 2006.

Even if it was free and came with a free lapdance from Mila Kunis, it would still be too expensive.
  • Deleted user 7 June 2013 19:06:12
I got it free on launch and I felt ripped off.

No mention of the massive ' No DRM Summer Sale' (500+ games at 50% off) going on right now? Torchlight is FREE until midnight Thursday and there are daily special offers - in addition to the standard sale.

Yesterday you could get Alan Wake + American Nightmare for about $4 and there was a massive RPG bundle.

Today's special offers include Witcher 2 for $6, Don't Starve for $10 and Slender for $5.

FTL for approx 1.62 is an incredible price for an outstanding game. If you've been thinking about it, now would be a good time to get it..

In fact, this sale is just terrific for gamers.
