@askew That’s what I said to them. How was I expected to know I couldn’t call sky mobile? Apparently the lyca thing is shown on their website somewhere, but I don’t think the sky mobile connection is. Think i’ll escalate. Thanks! |

Registered 17 years agoAny time my parents had real problems with virgin media's shitty 1st stage CS (2 days we had real bad internet and tv service) end up asking for cancellation and got through to the UK call centre and sorted in a hour) Their basic level outsourced CS are shit, who just read through a script and really don't give a fuck -

Registered 9 years agoI still can’t figure out how calling a uk sky mobile number results in me being charged for an overseas call.
One way or another i’ll be getting my money back! -

The only way to get decent support was to post on their forum, where their UK CS would pick up the issues and they would be dealt with in a competent manner. Since Liberty Global have taken over, they seem to only have their CS check threads a week or so after they're raised, so it's currently the slowest way to get support.

Registered 20 years agoA reminder to always always try and cancel your contract when it's up.
My contract ended last month and so my monthly had shot up to £46pm with a £3 increase coming in next month. Called them to cancel and they cut the cost to £33 for another 12 months.
Last year similarly I got it cut from £45pm to £30pm.
This is for 100mb broadband, most basic TV (but TiVO still), phone line.
Without TV they were offering me 50mb for £22pm and 100mb for £25.

Or if you're a lazy cunt like me, just look at the "upgrades and offers" section on the website. I got upgraded from 200M to 350M and retained the rest of the crap I had and end up paying a quid less a month just for clicking a button on a website.

That doesn't make sense to me. How on earth can one MVNO use another MVNO's network? They don't have a network to use, that's why they are an MVNO!

Registered 9 years agoYeah none of it makes sense to me. All I know is that I have been charged £80 for calls to a sky mobile number that should have been FOC.
I’ve replied to them threatening to escalate and leave if they don’t sort it out. -

If the number you dial is a standard UK number, you shouldn't be paying any extra charges for overseas etc.
