If this is the same Ramos who cheated Liverpool out of the Champions League by hypnotising their shit goalie I'm gonna flip

Murray wants to retire after Wimbledon, but might not make it past the Aussie Open

Sad end to the career of one of the greatest British sportsmen ever.

Not totally unexpected but really sad news about an incredible athlete and a good guy to boot.

Such a shame. Itís been coming, you could see that, but with Federer still winning majors in his mid 30s you could see Murray having several more years at the top if it hadnít been for this. A sad and unfair end to an amazing career.

In most other tennis eras Murray would likely have won at least half a dozen majors. He was unfortunate to play at the same time as three of the greatest players of all time. Three major titles is quite an achievement given the strength of the competition - no accident that Murray also lost a load of finals.

I thought Nadal was going to retire a few years ago with his knee problems.

Shame for Murray - guess there is nothing else he can do.. :(

Oof, Federer out at the hands of 20-year-old Greek player Tsitsipas.

It was a good match. I always love watching Federer, and he was playing well! But Tsitsipas was just on fire, he didn't make many mistakes at all.

It was good to see Osaka win and not have it spoiled by her opponent having a tanty. I would have been happy even if Kvitova had won, though - it was a very good women's final.

Delighted for Murray, great to see him competing again, albeit "only" doubles.

I think he just thrives on the attention now. He's guaranteed headlines in the Australian press every time he opens his stupid mouth to say something stupid.

Murrau is reckoned to be one of the nicest guys on tour, you won't hear a bad word against him. Even Kyrgios was recently praising him as he bitched about all the other top players :)

No joke post, thatís the impression I got from talking to people who follow tennis more than I do. Personally Iím not qualified to have an opinion, so Iím happy to be corrected.

Some really good matches so far even with this heat.

The BBCs constant loving towards Federer got a bit much though

Well if Kyrgios likes him, maybe he really is a cunt.

I'm enjoying the Wimbeldons so far. It's nice to see Ash Barty on top, and I do like that the women's game isn't full of "personalities" like Kyrgios. There are heaps of talented players in the men's game, but they crack under pressure at best (Tsitsipas), and are lazy cunts (see: Kyrgios and Tomic) at worst.

    Nadal v Kyrgios starting soon.

Apparently the Big K spent last night at the pub. Which on the one hand I have some kind of respect for. But on the other hand this kid is getting paid millions, coasting by on talent alone, and if he really gives no shits about his job then he should probably fucking quit.

Both Kyrgios and Tomic are the biggest anomalies I've seen is sport. They both clearly have plenty of talent, and can beat the best when they actually try, but they have the worst attitudes I've seen.

If they really don't like Tennis, why don't they pursue something they actually enjoy, while they're still young?

Apparently Kyrgios likes basketball. He should go play that.

I mean shit, both of them have enough money at this point to be able to do whatever they want for the rest of their lives (assuming they don't go spend it all on cars or whatever). Go do something you like, and let the poor spectators focus their attention on someone who actually gives a shit.
