No. Would you like to just pull my pigtails and run away laughing? It would take less time.

Going to barca next friday the 18th, want to watch the match on saturday vs Getafe.. the official barca website is very hit and miss, they only ever seem to have the odd ticket here and there never any together. Unsure about ordering from other sites or there's the option of just taking the chance that we can buy them when we get there.. any advice?

I'd personally never buy tickets except through the official channels IG, but the case might be a little different for foreign matches, there may be a couple of trustworthy sites though I couldn't tell you which as I've not bought foreign tickets before. However I don't think you'll be chancing it too much if you just try to get them when you're there, the average attendance is just below 80,000 and the stadium holds about 100,000 in total, so I'd hazard a guess there'll be some spare tickets available. Maybe not the best seats, but you should still be able to get in.

Went myself about 6 years ago, though only did the tour, didn't see a match. Unfortunately didn't get to see the Bernabeu when I went to Madrid, but I'd like to go back and see a match there sometime.

For a game like that you'll be able to buy them at the box office before the game. Did the same a few years back, you'll only struggle for a big game. Just ignore the touts outside unless you get desperate!

I managed to get tickets to see Barca vs Valencia when I visited family three years ago and we got them two days before the match. Cost about 18 I think for the tickets. It really wasn't very much at all.

Coolio thanks for the replies, will try to get them there.. Last resort is always the touts! Regarding the city itself, is there anything you can recommend regarding activities for a group of lads.. Apart from the obvious ;) Is the stadium tour worth doing?

I'm going next Friday too and will also be at the Getafe game. Barcelona members who aren't going to the game usually make their seats available up to 72 hours before the game and they can be easily bought at the gate. A friend goes there every season and can verify this. :)

Apart from Ramblas what else is there to do there? We're in a hotel near the Nou Camp so a tad bit outside the main part of Barcelona.

If you can get out to Mount Teidi (may not be spelt right) that has some stunning views. You will need a car though, or book an organised coach trip.

All depends what sort of 'lads' trip it is. If it's purely beer and girls then that wouldn't be of interest. If a bit of walking (actually, some serious walks available there), sightseeing, and fantastic photo opportunities, I'd recommend it.

Oh and the fish restaurants by the harbour.

Top tip for Barcelona in general: try to go around the outside and not through the middle, as you'll just get frustrated...no wait, that's the football team, not the city.

So I'm off to Barcelona on Tuesday for a week. Staying at a shiny new hostel based around skating.

Anyone got any must-see/do suggestions for me?

I know the post is nearly a year old, but kentmonkey - Mount Teide is in Tenerife. It would be a hell of a long way to go from Barcelona to there on a coach trip. LOL.

    Montserrat?

    I'll go visit anyway.

Here's hoping I don't get pick pocketed! I kinda want Ice Cream Sandwich on my galaxy S2!

Went to Barcelona just off la rambla just last month with the missus. Really enjoyed it. Alot to see and do. Weather was still nice as well.

Was my first time going and we only went 3* though so I couldn't help though master of beasts.
