Forgot about The Bureau. Genius stuff!

"This is a Bureau De Change, not some two-bit punch and judy show down in Margate!"

I was hoping someone would end my quote but you're ahead of me!

The Bureau was brilliant! The one where they toured it on the back of a lorry :D

Can't believe this is even being considered. Nothing comes close to Partridge.

As for the whole quoteiness thing, I wonder if it's because so many of us grew up with him? Not sure someone coming to it cold would have the same appeal

On the live video I have, he sings a song called Ordinary Girl to a girl from the audience. It is funny I must say.

I've got the video! He takes her off stage and engages in 'sex' before throwing a false leg on stage. Class stuff.

Saxondale is rather nice. It's not so bluntly embarassing as Partridge. He's got a set of morals but clearly clumsly in his execution of them. There's more detail to Tommy too. I hope he does a third series.

    Partridge/Saxondale

Partridge is my favourite but Gareth Cheesman was great. My favourite bit was where he closed a sale, rubbed his hands and said "A wank, I think"

uLOL (unfortunate laugh out loud) in front of parents :(

He should resurrect Cheesman, he only did one episode with him (I think?).

Odd that no-one's mentioned it given the tone of the thread, but you do know about the tour later in the year - "Steve Coogan is Alan Partridge and Other Less Successful Characters"?
